Refund Policy
The Journal of Innovative Research and Technology (JIRT) maintains a transparent and fair refund policy to ensure trust and clarity for authors. Article Processing Charges (APC), if applicable, are used to support editorial activities, peer review, and long-term archiving. Therefore, refunds are offered only under specific conditions.
Non-Refundable Fees
Once an article has entered the peer review stage, the APC becomes non-refundable, regardless of the final editorial decision. This is because editorial and review resources are utilized as soon as the process begins.
Likewise, fees are not refundable in the following cases:
-
The manuscript is rejected after peer review
-
The author withdraws the manuscript after it has been sent for review
-
The article is removed or retracted due to author misconduct
-
Delays caused by reviewers, editors, or technical issues outside the journal’s control
Refund Eligibility
A refund may be considered ONLY in the following situations:
a. Duplicate Payment
If an author accidentally pays the APC more than once, the extra payment will be fully refunded.
b. Payment Error
If the author provides proof of a payment system error, the amount will be refunded.
c. Article Not Processed
If, due to an internal error, the journal fails to initiate the editorial process, the author is entitled to a full refund.
Refund Process
-
All refund requests must be submitted by email to the editorial office.
-
The author must provide proof of payment and a clear explanation of the request.
-
Approved refunds are processed within 14 to 30 business days depending on the payment method.
No Refund After Publication
Once an article is accepted and published, no refund can be issued under any circumstance.
Withdrawal Charges
If an author withdraws the manuscript after peer review, a withdrawal fee may apply to compensate for editorial and reviewer time.
